SMP Classic End Opening

SMP Classic End Opening

The big event you've all been looking forward to is on its way!

The SMP Classic End will be opening on Friday, August 16th, at 8pm EST.

Once the end is opened, you will be able to fight the Ender Dragon, loot end cities, and do whatever else you want to! This dimension will have a slowly expanding border, starting at 4000 x 4000, just like the other two. The rate of expansion will likely be a bit faster than the Overworld and Nether though, since it is behind.

Now, when it comes to the End, especially the dragon fight, there are going to be certain rules set in place for the benefit of both the players and the moderators. Please make sure to read the rules in full–you can find them below–and ask any questions you have about them.

Rules of The First Dragon Fight

  • PVP is allowed - Do not bring anything you don't want to lose, we will not be returning items lost during the dragon fight. If you enter the End during the Dragon Fight, you are essentially giving your consent to PVP.

You can start PVPing AFTER you are part of the way onto the End Island. This is being clarified because otherwise people may try to pvp immediately and unintentionally spawn kill people, which violates the rules.

In this specific case there are less restrictions on PVP, but there are still some restricted activities, so here are a few specifications on what will and will not be allowed:
    • PVP with explosives (tnt minecarts, anchors, beds, crystals, Firework Rockets, Withers, etc) is not allowed. This includes using them against the dragon, as people can be caught in those blasts indirectly.
    • Spawn platform camping / trapping isn't allowed.
    • Teams are allowed.
  • To reiterate from above, there will be absolutely no spawn camping / trapping / sending dangerous things through end portals, doing so will result in a 1-3 day temp ban from the server.
    • Any amount of hovering near the spawn platform is considered spawn camping, even if you're looking at it from a distance.
  • Whoever gets the dragon egg decides what is done with it.

After the First Dragon Fight has ended (this means after the egg has been secured by someone), please refer to the following section for rules on the End itself.

General Rules After the Dragon Fight

After the initial dragon fight when the end first opens, the following rules will be in place:

  • The core rules of the SMP, which can be found here.
    • PVP will be consensual again.
  • First come first serve - whoever gets to the end ships and end loot can take whatever they want.
  • Claiming - You can claim land outside of the center End Island, not on it. You may claim End Cities as well, but only the structures themselves, not the loot. If you want the loot you need to get it yourself before others take it.
