Extraction 1.1.3 Update
Back to back and ready to rumble.

Everything was calm until the Pillagers attacked...

We just updated Extraction to 1.1.3, with some big new dangers in the Dead Zone, as well as a bunch of QoL and bugfixes, with some prep for a PROPER 1.21 upgrade and trial chambers in the near future!

This will be the final update for Extraction on 1.20 (even though you all are already playing on 1.21, we're still 1.20 in the background). I've been working hard at getting everything updated to 1.21 so we can play with the new items ASAP, but the trick has been getting all the NBT specifics of items upgraded to the new components system while at the same time making sure old and new versions of items stack for inventory space. There's a chance a decent bit of items will venture through the item updater, so stay tuned.

But there's a lot to cover here, so let's dive in.

Raids all the way down...

Pillager Raids were initially found out through a glitch in the system and me overlooking a very specific item combination in the loot pool...

This was SO MUCH FUN that the Pillagers have officially invaded the Dead Zone. There are several new Pillager Tower POI around the map, each of which being a place where you can trigger a raid with Bad Omen.

Don't worry about having to find a Captain, though... there's a few non-officially-branded Ominous Bottles waiting in chests around the Nexus. These are rare, but if you find one get a group together and prepare for the endgame combat challenge of Extraction.

New Items

We added 30 new items to the loot pool today, including a bunch of Pillager-themed items and the much-awaited Diamond gear tier. Our diamond gear comes with a bit of a trade-off, however, as the heavy equipment will slow you down when venture into the Dead Zone. This can be countered with cookies or other tools, and the speed debuff almost perfectly matches the Paratrooper Dagger.

Diamond tier is craftable RIGHT NOW, but it's a pretty big investment. Good luck getting a full set!

Changelog

  • Added 30 new items to the loot pool
  • Added 2 new Key Item spawns
  • Added a new particle effect that indicates if an Extraction is one that is valid for you (shown above)
  • Fixed an issue where players could inappropriately change blocks or use certain items in game. The following blocks should no longer be interactable
    • Signs
    • Wall Signs
    • Hanging Signs
    • Grindstones
    • Anvils
    • Stonecutters
    • Chiseled Bookshelves
    • Smiting Tables
    • Cartography Tables
    • Crafting Tables
  • Furnaces are not affected by the above change because of my favorite thing of leaving items in furnaces around the world. Make sure to check those! ;)
  • Fixed several interactions / duplication glitches with bundles
    • When now in a bundle menu, you should be fully unable to move or change the position of any bundles in your inventory through any means.
    • You can no longer right click with a bundle in the offhand to dump the contents
    • I GET MOJANG'S TROUBLE WITH BUNDLES NOW *shudder*
  • Fixed an issue where spamming the postmaster opened duplicate unattached inventories, both inventories now refresh to avoid duplication
  • Fixed an issue where an item being returned from the Cryptarch would drop on the ground - it now is sent to your postmaster
  • Fixed an issue where players could hold items on their cursor to avoid enchantment costs
  • Fixed an issue where Extraction Locators dropped the vanilla Eye of Ender item
  • Fixed an issue with the freezing tick task causing errors on the back end
  • Removed the Shulker Boxes at North Obelisk
  • Put Syl in time out
